HAPPY FRIGGIN' NEW... whatever

I love how everyone thinks that all the evils in the world will go away once the new year comes. Various friends and family alike have all told me how they are so glad 2003 is over. Like some how the forces of badness in everyone's lives use the same calendar that we do. Last time I checked all of the things that are bugging the crap out of me are still going to be there a few hours from now. I'll still have a sink full of dishes to wash, an employer that is unresponsive to my emails, my laptop will still be in the shop and Bush will still be in the White House...
