This is a guy based loosely off of another anime screencap. I really only use screencaps as inspiration since I'm simply not good enough yet to copy precisely. Also, copying precisely isn't what I'm interested in. The idea is to find my own style by seeing what other artists do.

Draw Every Day #182 6/30/12: He came from... the 80s!"

Draw Every Day #171 6/19/12: Boy #3 from #Numerica
After drawing this character yesterday (in the "Fantasy Escape" DED drawing), I thought I should draw him in a less frightened state. I'm slowly creating a world around this kid and some other characters. I have watched one episode of "Kaiba" (which inspired "Fantasy Escape") and am happy that my ideas are going in a different direction from the ideas on that show. But I've been inspired nonetheless... great another good story idea... I really need to stop having these.

Draw Every Day #181 6/29/12: Boy #16g from #Numerica
This is a character from my #Numerica project. I started drawing characters from this back on 6/18 but they're only getting around to posting because I fell waaay behind. Anyway, stay tuned for more characters from (and an explanation of) this project posted in the mornings over the next several days.

Draw Every Day #170 6/18/12: Fantasy Escape (from #Numerica)
After catching just a glimpse of the somewhat bizarre 2008 anime series "Kaiba" I was instantly inspired to go off in a weird direction. I'm not even sure what "Kaiba" is about, but the imagery of cute, child-like anime characters in twisted, life-threatening situations, resonated with me, so I drew "Fantasy Escape." I'm not sure who this kid is or what he is escaping from but I do know he's pretty damn scared of it. The main take away is the word "fantasy" in the title. Is the fantasy that he's a fictional character? Or that he'll escape?

Draw Every Day #168 6/16/12: Billy Joe Gray Jr. of #TheFamilyGray
Here is the final member of #TheFamilyGray--it's Billy Joe Gray Jr., the son and heir to The Family Gray, itself! He's handsom (well, for having no nose) and is good with the ladies (even ones from Earth). However, Billy Joe Jr. hasn't quite learned the smarts his poppy has for keeping his family alive on Earth. Hopefully, that kinda learning will come to him! (Or so Billy Joe Sr. is hopin'!)

Draw Every Day #179 6/27/12: Anarchy Rabbit (T-shirt close-up)
Felt like I hadn't drawn Anarchy in a while, so I thought I'd draw him today. I always want to draw him so somber. Not sure why... Turns out I drew him a mere 5 weeks ago. Ah well.

Ballpoint Adventures for March 18, 2006: Barbie has had enough "divine" sex from Billy--er--God...
Sorry for the break in posting classic BPA strips--read the last few leading up to this one here: thepete.com/tag/ballpoint-adventures/
The gist of it is that Billy convinced Barbie he was God so he could have sex with her. Silly Billy! Pretending to be God takes so much usually people only pretend *to talk* to him.
Draw Every Day #177 June 25, 2012: Iron American
Iron American is an armored super-hero meant to make America look both tough and more moral. The idea is that the robot drones America uses in the middle east are taken out of use and are replaced with Iron American. No longer does America send a remote control robot into do the job.
The catch is, IA *is* a robot, but has an advanced AI to fool people into thinking he's a real man inside a suit of armor. This way he'll still take orders like a drone... that is until, one day, when he becomes self-aware...
