New on my 500px: Retired for the Evening


For some reason, I like taking photos without people in them. I find the things left behind by people to be more interesting without them. This photo was taken in Venice, Italy, in June of 2013.

    Scenes bereft of people usually are crowded with ghosts we can't see.

    Well said, Dan--in some ways, I feel like the things we leave behind are evidence of our ghosts--that is, evidence of who we were.
