My complete, but edited #CaptureTheDroid @VerizonWireless #StarWarsDayAfternoon video #throughglass

May The Fourth Be With You. Yesterday, May 4, 2015, I (along with several other intrepid Star Wars fans--including my lovely wife) tracked down R2-D2 in Union Square, NYC as part of the #CaptureTheDroid promotion with VerizonWireless! Once we tracked down R2, we took part in a trivia contest and I managed to win it.  So, that means I am going to San Diego Comic Con 2015 compliments of Verizon Wireless!! Hm, maybe nobody tell them I'm with Virgin Mobile :)

TheGlassLog: Sometimes it's good to be Glassy (#Google Threw Us a #Glass Party!)

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="640"] Photo by @SierraRein[/caption]

Google threw us a party! YAY!

One of the big fat pills we Glass Explorers had to swallow was the price of entry into our exclusive little club. $1500 (plus tax!) for the right to beta test Google's new gadget seems to most folks to be a lot to ask. I wish Google hadn't done it this way, for strictly selfish reasons, but I understand why they did it. They wanted to make sure we were invested in putting Glass through its paces. The best way to make sure we're invested? Make us invest!

But with all that money we've all spent, a lot of us have been wondering if we'd be seeing any other bang for our bucks. I read a couple people online say that they hoped to see Google give each of us Explorers the first consumer version of Glass for free. That sure would be nice, but as we're still many moons from that, it's nice to see Google showing some appreciation in the meantime. Last night was the Glass Explorer Social--a big party thrown in honor of us.

ThePeteTV: TheGlassVlog: @SierraRein sings #ThroughGlass

Watch what my wife sees when she sings at Mark Janas' The Salon, a well known open mike here in #NYC. Yes, she wore my Glass while singing and boy did she knock it out of the park!

The song is "They Just Keep Moving the Line" from the TV Show "Smash" by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman
