Ah, this is lovely. India’s government seems to be preparing for the upcoming resource-shortage by bribing the parents of future generations to not create said future generations. This kind of quiet eugenics reminds me of Barbara Harris who thinks it’s cool to pay addicts and criminal-types to sterilize themselves via her “Project Prevention” non-profit. Check out the Stuff You Should Know podcast that talks about her and the idea of sterilizing addicts.
