IMPEACH BUSH OVER FEDERAL PROSECUTOR FIRINGS? BETTER THAN NOTHING

Grabbed this last night off of CNN.com:

Wow, so of all the things Bush has screwed up, this story is the one that sticks?

Well, OK, I'll take what I can get! Let's impeach this guy now. How many more laws do we let him break before we actually do something about it? And remember, you don't even have to break a law to get impeached--all you have to do is violate the public trust.

And I'm pretty sure Bush has already done that and, if he hasn't, he's done so now in firing all of these prosecutors just because they weren't his loyal followers.

Wrongthinking (dissent) is punishable.

  1. It's a game of "run out the clock" Pete. This whole "scandal" is bread and games. The wheels of "justice" will grind to a slow creep, and nothing will come out of this.

Meanwhile Iraq, illegal immigration, etc. etc. etc. will be shifted off the back burner and back into the freezer by BOTH parties.

"If men of wisdom and knowledge, of moderation and temperance, of patience,
fortitude and perseverance, of sobriety and true republican simplicity of
manners, of zeal for the honour of the Supreme Being and the welfare of the
commonwealth; if men possessed of these other excellent qualities are chosen
to fill the seats of government, we may expect that our affairs will rest
on a solid and permanent foundation." --Samuel Adams

    We're screwed.
