BUT WHY DO YOU SLAM REPORTERS, ROVE?

I grabbed the below image from [http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/07/29/rove.journalists.ap/index.html|a July 29, 2006 article] at CNN.Com. Doesn't anyone see a flaw in Rove's reasoning?



This is just Rove saying "I know you are but what am I?"

The answer to that childish question is, of course, "the same thing."

So, Rove slams reporters by saying they're trying to distract from reporters' own failings.

Couldn't the exact same thing be said about Rove?

Go after reporters to distract from your own failings.

This is perfectly consistent with an argument the US State Department has used in defense of a UN human rights report that slams the US for torture and other internationally illegal activities.

"Why not go after countries that REALLY suck instead of us?" asks the USG.

It seems that once again the Bushites are using WMD to throw us off their very impeachable scent. WMD, standing for Weapons of Mass Distraction...
