911 Memorial Candle at ThePete.Com

Four years ago today (9/12) I held a lit candle outside my apartment for an hour as a quiet memorial to those lives lost on 911. I wasn't alone that night. I later drove around town to see people in front of their homes, walking down sidewalks, all with candles in their hands.

A year later, on 911, I moved the candle ritual to my website. For an hour on 9/11/2 I let the candle go on my webcam. Last year, I did it again and with the exact same candle I had used the previous years.

This year, I lost the candle... until about 10 minutes ago. I found it and set up the old iSight webcam and let her go. Heres's one of the images EvoCam uploaded to my server just now:

The candle will burn until 1am, precisely 1 hour after I lit it in honor and memory of those victims who lost their lives on 9/11/1.

Remember the victims on 911... don't forget the freedom that they died while enjoying.

Remember the victims on 911... forget the fear.
