First off, DO YOUR RESEARCH! I've got a lawyer that is doing a good job for me now, but don't think that just because you have a good lawyer that you're off the hook. You need to do your research, too. As I was doing my research I came across:

It's a pretty good blog that covers all sorts of consumer credit news, mainly aimed at residents of the state of California. However, I think it's a great jumping off point for anyone who is having legal credit problems. Check it out if you're having trouble.
