This is the very first shot of the protest I took from across the street from it. It's just the tip of the iceberg! When Angelinos (Angelenos?) want to protest Bush, they go all out! Peacefully, of course! That's what always cracks me up about LAPD--they come out big-time with SWAT gear just because violence MIGHT occur--despite the fact that it hardly ever does--it's all about the SWAT gear.
This one protester dressed up as one of the victims at Abu Ghraib. Good stuff. This is what half of America voted for--more torture and more protests.
YEEHAW!
Kudos to anyone who shows up to a protest dressed in a torture outfit. Depressing, but effective!
Now THIS clip is what I'm talkin' about!!
Impeach the bastard!! Clinton did NOTHING compared to Bush. Monicagate?
TRY NO WMD, bitch!!
But seriously, check out the clip, it's a good one :)
This is a shot during the march through Westwood. There was something strangely empowering to walk through my neighborhood with a few hundred screaming protesters.
Frankly, there's so much to protest, it's a shame we don't do this more often...
This is a long shot (about 10 minutes) of the march ending back on Wilshire Boulevard. I decided to get artsy and shoot this from the point of view of one of those yellow stripes on the road.
